Easy Addition

1.   Chris had 8 cards in a box. Luke gave him 2 more cards. Then Chris had how many cards in all?

2.   Emily had 8 rings in a case. Her mother bought her 2 more rings. How many rings does she have in all?

3.   There are 4 roses on Sue's plant and 7 roses on Carol's plant. How many roses are there altogether?

4.  Jordan saw 6 birds in his yard.  Jacky saw 9 birds in his yard. How many birds in all did they see?

5.  Emily got 7 colored pencils to draw with. Her art teacher had 10 different pencils. How many pencils in all do they have.

6.  Timmy collects pictures of animals. He has 20 pictures at school and 17 pictures at home. How many pictures does he have in all?

7.  Linda bought a painting book for 75¢.  Shan bought a painting book for 69¢. How much did they spend altogether?

8.  There are 7 toy cars in the toy box. There are 12 toy cars on the shelf. How many toy cars in all?

9.  For the party at school. Jamie brought 12 cupcakes. Brittany brought 12 cupcakes. How many cupcakes did they bring altogether?

10.  John collects small airplanes. He has 14 sliver planes and 17 blue ones. How many airplanes does he have in all?
